Major gift fund-raising is a specialty of our firm and the primary focus our work with most of our long-term clients some of whom have used our services for ten or more years.

In addition to our long-term and on-going work with clients in this area, we also offer 1-2 day on-site consultations designed to help non-profits and school’s make the paradigm shift away from a funding model based on small gifts (the focus of the typical Annual Fund) to a development model that incorporates specific attention to the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of the major gift donor.

Key elements of a 1-2 day consultation include:

  • Understanding the paradigm shift to major gift fundraising.
  • Cultivation of the Major Gift Donor.
  • Assessing major gift capability.
  • Assessing a donor’s “emotional connectedness” to your organization.
  • Engagement of the CEO and Board in Major Gift Fundraising Visitation and Relationship Building
  • In-Office Procedures and Operations (tracking, follow-up, etc.)

Format: On-site consultation with development team (including a minimum of 1-2 hours with executive or senior management). Assessment of the readiness of your organization for an on-site consultation will be made in a telephone conversation prior to entering the contract.
