In his book, The Spirituality of Fund-Raising, Henri Nouwen writes “…..fund-raising is as spiritual as giving a sermon, entering a time of prayer, visiting the sick, and feeding the hungry.”

The focus of this consultation is to assist faith-based non-profits in the exploration of fundraising as ministry. In the consultation, Henry Freeman draws on his 20-year personal experience and relationship with Henri Nouwen. He also brings to the table practical applications of how fundraising at its best can be an affirmation of a faith-based organization’s mission and values rather than a necessary and laborious task.
